Ben White has reacted on Twitter to Arsenal’s defeat by Chelsea this evening.
The Blues recorded a 2-1 friendly win away to their London rivals at the Emirates Stadium.
Goals from Kai Havertz and Tammy Abraham, either side of Granit Xhaka’s equaliser, was enough for the European champions to beat Arsenal.
But the home fans will remember it for being White’s debut more than anything.

The 23-year-old, who secured a £50 million move to Arsenal on Friday, came on in the second half and impressed in a big way.

It could – and would – have been 2-0 to the visitors, but a brilliant goal-saving block from the Gunners’ new defender denied Chelsea a certain second.

All things considered, it was a pretty meaningless game for Arsenal and no Gunner will read too much into it.
That being said, White’s debut was very encouraging nonetheless and it’ll be fascinating to see how he fares this season.
