According to a police news release issued Sunday, the man was struck and initially trapped under the vehicle — with police, EMS and firefighters responding to the collision at 6:45 p.m. in the east alley of the 500 block of Pasqua Street.

The man was transported to hospital by EMS.

No further details were released.

On Friday, police also released information about a vehicle-pedestrian collision that had occurred one day earlier, involving a 17-year-old male pedestrian.

The collision occurred shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Lewvan Drive and 1st Avenue North.

When police arrived, they located the teen lying in the intersection. He was taken to hospital by EMS.  The vehicle involved in the collision, and the 27-year-old driver, were still at the scene.

“Preliminary investigation indicates the male may have crossed Lewvan Drive from east to west on a red light.  He was struck by a southbound vehicle,” police said.

Police asked that anyone who may have information to add to the investigations to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
